Distil Fund

Funding for Communities and Organisations

Two of our overriding principles at Distil are:

1. To enhance the quality of life of humanity; and
   
   
2. Where possible, to support those communities and organisations who want to benefit from our leading edge approaches but do not have the financial means.

To facilitate this, 10% of our profits go into the Distil Fund.

Half of that amount is given freely to a charity of our choice.

The other 5% is available to communities and organisations who wish to use our services but cannot afford to do so. Communities and organisations in that situation are welcome to apply for funding from the Fund.

Some guidelines in relation to funding:

1. At least 50% of the funding for the project (not taking into account ‘in kind’) must be met through other sources. Apart from that, there is no upper limit as to what communities and organisations can request.

2. We need to be convinced that the application is genuine and that reasonable attempts have been made to raise funds from local and other sources.

3. Funding is only available to communities and non-profits. (If you are a for-profit business and would like to use our services but do not have the finances, contact us for some ideas.)

4. Applications are considered in order of receipt. If you have not yet considered the financial aspects of your project but wish to ‘reserve your place in the queue’, you are welcome to lodge an application without the financial details. You will then have 6 weeks to provide the financial details.
